Men’s Elite National Championships

The second circuit will be the same circuit as used in the Women’s race covering 6 laps of the 9.5miles / 15.3km circuit, totalling 56.7miles / 91.2km. Each lap will pass though Ampleforth College grounds, Ampleforth Village, Yearsley Moor and Gilling East.

The total race distance will be 182km/113.7miles.

The Men’s Championship will incorporate the traditional Peter Longbottom Memorial in honour of the former international who lived at nearby Malton. His earlier clubs VC York and the Clifton CC will once again provide the mainstay of the marshalling effort.

The Championships will be subject to a rolling road closure which will be under the control of the National Police Escort Group and the NEG. There will be delays and all spectators are urged not to attempt to drive around the course unnecessarily. Full race details will be in the race programme and there will be signs on the day directing spectators to parking areas.
