British Cycling Female Member Survey

March 4, 2016 Comments Off

Womens racing is currently finding the balance between the number of events on the calendar and the volume of competitors taking to the start line.

Often both riders and organisers debate the reasoning behind this and what the best route forward is for women’s sport. British Cycling Yorkshire Region have this week released a survey to female members across Yorkshire to understand more about their views on the current racing calendar. The results will help us balance the calendar with the right type of events for the development of racing, and will be shared with organisers to help them understand the need for Elite vs. Grass Roots events, frequency, location and promotion.

If you are a female British Cycling member and haven’t completed the survey, please check your email inbox to find the survey link and have your say on the future of racing in Yorkshire. The more feedback we receive, the greater the chance of delivering quality races where all levels of ability are given the opportunity to be competitive and develop through the sport in the same way as their male counterparts. If you have not received your email link, please contact terrygreenwood@britishcycling.org.uk
